Comparing Eco Flash Dryer to traditional and alternative methods
We're always improving—here's what's coming next
We're developing machine learning algorithms that automatically adjust temperature and airflow based on cassava moisture content, ambient humidity, and weather forecasts for even better results.
A digital marketplace connecting farmers with verified buyers, enabling direct sales, price transparency, and logistics coordination across Uganda's cassava value chain.
Snap-on expansion modules allowing farmers to increase drying capacity as their business grows, without replacing the entire system. Scale from 300kg to 1,000kg per hour.
Adapting our flash drying technology for other high-value crops like maize, millet, and fruits, helping farmers diversify income and reduce seasonal vulnerability.
How we developed the Eco Flash Dryer with farmers at the center
We spent 6 months in cassava-growing regions, talking to 200+ farmers about their drying challenges, losses, and needs. This grounded our design in real-world requirements.
Our engineering team built 5 prototype iterations, testing different heating methods, airflow designs, and solar configurations. Each was field-tested with farmer feedback.
We deployed 20 units across Uganda for a 6-month pilot, collecting data on drying times, losses, quality, and durability. Results exceeded expectations: 45% loss reduction confirmed.
Now in full production, we maintain close relationships with farmers, continuously gathering feedback and making improvements. Innovation never stops at Eco Flash Dryer.
